My no-name bird-sown sunflower gives me great pleasure as it beams at me across the garden. Imagine how bright the garden would be if I had more sunflowers… there is always next year!

This week I enjoyed my annual visit to the trial grounds of the seeds company, Mr. Fothergill’s Seeds, which based in Suffolk. Like most gardeners in the UK they have had their ups and downs, successes and difficulties.
